I was born in North Carolina and spent most of my early life growing up in the rural town of Salisbury. I earned an AFA from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in 2018, then a BA from University of North Carolina at Asheville in the Fall of 2020, during the covid-19 pandemic. I currently work independently on art in Asheville, NC. Most of my work focuses on documenting and celebrating punk/independent/DIY music and art culture. I photograph and video live music and other events, as well as create promotional photography, merchandise, posters, and prints. I also create music and lead the band Juniper Willow, as well as play synthesizer in the band Socialist Anxiety. Additionally I maintain a physically-printed, 24-page, volume-based punk zine that has been running by donation since July of 2021, called Shape of the Crowd. I'm focused on creating and supporting art that is accessible to people regardless of income, while using practical DIY ethics. I also work to document DIY music and culture across the US, though am currently mostly limited to Asheville, NC.
